Hello church family!

I am writing to give you an update on the merge vote held by College Avenue Baptist Church (CABC) today.  As you may know, CABC has voted to be adopted into the Journey Church Family. The recommendation was approved by an overwhelming majority. Ninety-five percent of all votes cast are in favor of the merge. We are very excited and praise the Lord for the support.

Thank you for your prayers, patience, and understanding these past several months as we have sought the Lord’s leadership for the merge to occur. At this point, it is important for everyone to understand that the vote to merge essentially authorizes the merge to occur. Meaning, there is still much work to be done from a procedural and legal standpoint. That being said, it will be at least a few more months before the merger is ultimately completed.

In the meantime, as we move toward the year 2020, we will be taking deliberate and measured steps to integrate our two congregations into one. Thus, we want to thank you in advance for your enthusiastic support and cooperative spirit. It is truly a joy serving you!

Seriously, Pastor Jason and I both feel honored and extremely blessed to lead a people who have a Kingdom mindset. We firmly believe that the Spirit of God has brought our two congregations together for such a time as this. We are confident that are better together! We know that the best is yet to come.

Blessings,

Clark Killingsworth, Senior Associate Pastor
Jason Damkoehler, Lead Pastor
Journey Church
